And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. – Revelation 21:4 (NKJV)

Key points:

  • The book of Revelation is not a fairytale; it’s the story of victory and triumph and a future that belongs to those who put their faith in Jesus.
  • Jesus was, is, and always will be victorious. Nothing that happens in life will ever change that.

Hope is a feeling of expectation or a desire for something to happen.

It’s an expectation of something that hasn’t happened yet.

Most of us hope for good things.

We hope for a good future for ourselves and for those we love.

We hope for healthy families.

The book of Revelation is not a fairytale; it’s the story of victory and triumph and a future that belongs to those who put their faith in Jesus.

And whilst we hope for these things, in most cases, we have limited, if any, control over them.

However, one place we can find hope restored and renewed is in the book of Revelation.

This book is not some fairytale; it’s the story of victory and triumph and a future that belongs to those who put their faith in Jesus.

Revelation shows us that despite the trials, heartaches, and devastations we experience, in the end, there will be unprecedented joy and peace.

There will be no more pain, tears, or suffering because Jesus has defeated death and sin and shame.

Jesus was, is, and always will be victorious. Nothing that happens in life will ever change that.

He was, is, and always will be victorious.

Nothing that happens in life will ever change that.

There’s nothing that can diminish His power.

Revelation 21 tells us of a new heaven and earth where God will dwell with His people for all eternity.

The promise we have is that we will be face to face with God, for eternity.

We will bask in His glory, worship Him with the angels, and live free of all that sin destroyed.

What a beautiful promise to hold on to.

When we have Jesus in our lives, there’s always hope for the future.

And as we await eternity, may we stand in the love, peace, and victory He died for.
