For the first time Gen Physio have organised a fundraiser called “Warm Feet on the Street” by raising money to buy warm socks throughout the month of May to give to the homeless.
Podiatry Team Leader at Gen Physio, Jemma, explains this fundraiser is in support of Rosies who don’t have may socks donated.
“Myself and the Gen Physio Podiatry Team learnt that socks are considered one of the most wanted clothing items in homeless shelters yet they’re some of the least donated items,” she said.
With the help of social media, their clients and the community they were “blown away by the support” and raised $1000 worth of warm socks.
“I’d be remissive if I didn’t take the opportunity to say thank you so much to everyone who was kind enough and generous enough to donate to our cause this year,” Jemma said.
The Gen Physio and Podiatry team are all very grateful they could help those in need have ‘Warm Feet on the Street’ this winter.
