Richard, from the Burleigh Heads Rotary Club, explains they completed the veggie patch gardens for the clients last week and had an official opening on Wednesday the 28th April.
“One of the clients unveiled a plaque we put on the end of the garden beds,” Richard said.
The Endeavour Foundation help people with a disability learn life-skills through different activities with cooking being one of them. The clients will use the veggies from the garden and use them in their meals.
“The veggies and herbs, as the term paddock to plate it’s not very far from the paddock to the kitchen there,” he said.
Richard says members of the Rotary Club learnt new skills and hope the clients enjoy their new veggie gardens.
