Families will soon have a whole new way to enjoy Bluey, with the beloved blue heeler making the leap from page and screen to audiobook for the very first time.

Bluey fans can soon add audiobooks to their collection, with Penguin Random House Australia (PRH Australia) announcing the release of the first-ever Bluey audiobook collection, Bluey: The Beach and Other Stories.
Launching globally on 1 September 2026 in partnership with Penguin Random House UK and Penguin Random House US, the collection marks the first time Bluey stories have been made available in audiobook format anywhere in the world.
Narrated by Australian actor, writer and producer Miranda Tapsell, the audiobook features eight stories adapted from much-loved episodes including Baby Race, Barky Boats, The Beach, Charades, Daddy Robot, Magic Xylophone, The Pool and Typewriter.
Tapsell is well known for her roles in The Sapphires and Top End Wedding, and Bluey fans may also recognise her voice from the Turtleboy episode, where she played Dougie’s mum. Her narration brings a fresh dimension to some of the series’ most memorable stories, creating a listening experience designed for everything from long car rides to bedtime routines.

Building on a Bluey publishing success story
The audiobook release is the latest milestone in Bluey’s remarkable publishing journey.
Since becoming Bluey’s official publisher in 2019, Penguin Random House Australia has expanded the range well beyond traditional picture books, growing into chapter books, activity titles, novelty formats and now audio.

The move comes as Bluey continues its extraordinary global success. Since premiering on ABC KIDS in 2018, the award-winning series has become the most-watched program in ABC iview history, while the publishing program recently passed a major milestone of more than 10 million books sold across Australia and New Zealand.
