Our new Good News segment highlights acts of kindness, achievements and amazing stories from local charities to the more personal accomplishments of local Gold Coasters.
This week’s good news story features David who is 78 years old and has just received housing for himself and his dog after 27 years of being homeless.
David sought the help of Agape Outreach, a Gold Coast charity who helps people in need such as with attaining housing and providing meals and hampers.
“The only message I can give people is don’t give up hope”, David said.
David and his little fox terrier Tina are loving their new 70’s retro-styled house.
“She [Tina] absolutely loves it cause she’s got room to move around, it’s just me to a tee!”
David hopes others will receive the same outcome and support that he has received.
