Running your own business can be full on, however running a business as a Mum can have its challenges.

Gold Coast Mum, Annette, was a finalist in two categories for the AusMumPreneaur Awards – awards that highlight Mums who are entrepreneurs.

“The juggle of motherhood and being an entrepreneur sometimes people don’t take you seriously, so they really shone a light on the seriousness of being in a business,” she said.

Annette was a finalist in ‘Over-coming The Odds’ and won ‘Author Of The Year’ – where Annette wrote a memoir about her early childhood.

“It’s nice to force yourself to move past that and reflect on what you’ve accomplished,” Annette said.
